Command Code

The Command Code agent with your own provider: Unaligned models, billed to your balance.

Setup

Command Code takes custom providers in ~/.commandcode/providers.json (its “bring your own key” feature, in beta). List the models you want, with their limits from the model list:

{
  "provider": {
    "unaligned": {
      "name": "Unaligned",
      "baseURL": "https://api.unaligned.pw/openai/v1",
      "apiKey": "$UNALIGNED_KEY",
      "models": {
        "glm-5.3": { "name": "GLM 5.3", "contextWindow": 1000000, "maxOutput": 65536 },
        "kimi-k3": { "name": "Kimi K3", "contextWindow": 1000000, "maxOutput": 65536 }
      }
    },
    "unaligned-claude": {
      "name": "Unaligned (Claude)",
      "api": "anthropic-messages",
      "baseURL": "https://api.unaligned.pw/anthropic",
      "apiKey": "$UNALIGNED_KEY",
      "models": {
        "claude-sonnet-5-5": { "name": "Claude Sonnet 5.5", "contextWindow": 1000000, "maxOutput": 64000, "reasoning": true },
        "claude-opus-5-5": { "name": "Claude Opus 5.5", "contextWindow": 1000000, "maxOutput": 128000, "reasoning": true }
      }
    }
  }
}
  1. 01 Start Command Code and open /model.
  2. 02 Pick a model under Unaligned or Unaligned (Claude).
  3. 03 After editing the file, open /model again to reload it.
  • Claude models get their own provider in the Anthropic format (api: "anthropic-messages"), the one Claude is built for. Command Code adds /v1 to the Anthropic URL itself.
  • apiKey must point to your key ($UNALIGNED_KEY reads the environment variable): Command Code refuses a key written in the file. You can also add it with /connect → (BYOK) Add your own provider.
  • Without contextWindow, Command Code assumes 200,000 tokens.
  • --local-only (or CMD_LOCAL_ONLY=1) keeps Command Code from contacting its own servers; DO_NOT_TRACK=1 turns its telemetry off.
